On 7th February 2023, a seminar titled “Careers in Science and Sustainability in the Himalayas” was organized at Khandah Inter College in Uttarakhand. The seminar proved to be a deeply moving experience as we discovered that some students in the region have to travel a staggering 7 kilometers just to reach their school. While I had been aware of such challenging circumstances, it was disheartening to realize that this remains a prevailing issue even in the present day. The seminar served as an opportunity to address these challenges and explore career paths in the fields of science and sustainability, aiming to inspire and empower the students for a better future.
